More than 300,000 people participated in this major event on their own will in Taiwan on 8/30/2008. ...The pro-China media in Taiwan and the "official" headcount grossly down played the event and under reported the number of participants, as reflected in the foreign media reports. (More Pictures)

Thousands rally against Taiwan's China policy
TAIPEI, Taiwan (AP) — Tens of thousands of Taiwanese marched in the streets of the capital Saturday to protest the president's efforts to improve relations with rival China. The protest was the first mass rally against President Ma Ying-jeou since his inauguration about 100 days ago. It came amid worries among some people that Ma's efforts to boost Taiwan's economy with China's help could threaten the island's sovereignty. (More)

這次理事們全權籌劃特別從翠月樓訂約精緻中秋便當以饗同鄉,已往特色應景的月餅、柚子、刨冰當然不例外,將有多元化的精彩活動、包括排舞、呼拉圈賽、卡拉OK、有關台灣文物與歷史的有獎猜謎表演、定使您賞心悅目.屆時務請同鄉攜眷踴躍參加、大家享受一頓豐富的晚餐, 與鄉親歡聚話家常, 唱歌, 聽歌, 吃月餅, 看表演, 賞月光.....共度中秋佳節.
