Remembering 2-28 Events (2/26/05-2/27/05)
 
(Above) On 2/26/05, UTA-TSA students and local Taiwanese Americans gathered at Park Row Church of Christ in Arlington to symobolically toss 228 baskets to commemorate the infamous day in 1947 when thousands of Taiwanese were persecuted by the then authority in power.

    
(Above) On 2/27/05, members of FAPA, FAHR and TAA-DFW gathered for a 2-28 memorial service and dinner.  The evening began with a lighting ceremony followed by a moment of silence to honor those who died.  Brief speeches by the heads of the sponsoring organizations followed.

(Above) After dinner, a well known Taiwanese TV personality, "The Rogue Professor", Prof. Lin Jyan-Lung spoke to the attendees, sharing his past experiences and his views on the future of Taiwan.
